... japonese contemporary architecture ....








The headquarters of the Portuguese Order of Architects receives an exhibition of contemporary Japanese architecture from 1 to June 30 (Monday to Friday, 10h-18h) 

" (In) visible porcess  "was an idea initially proposed by the Portuguese architect Francisco Borges and James Spratley and the Japanese Yoshihide Kobanawa (curator of the exhibition) and Kaoru Fujii, working in Barcelona, and later elaborated by the Regional Chamber of Architects' South with the support of Japan Foundation, which finances through the Japanese Embassy in Portugal, exchange programs cultural international since 1972. 

The exhibition selects 13 architects from different generations, "with the aim of explaining the evolution and change in Japanese architecture and its impact on society and a number of projects of his own.  The architects are represented Keng Kuma (born in 1954), Jun Aoki (1956), Kazuhiro Kojima (1958) + Kazuko AKAMATSU (1968), Tetsuo Furuichi, Masahiro Harada (1973) + Mao Harada (1976), Kazuyasu Kochi (1973) , Sou Fujimoto, Jun Igarashi (1970), Kimiko Inui (1969) and Hiroshi Sambuichi (1968). 

The exhibition is supplemented with conferences:
